11/20/07 Curtis Earns USTFCCCA All-American Honors Villanova's Bobby Curtis has earned 2007 Division I men's cross country All-American honors as announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Curtis is one of seven runners under the BIG EAST banner to receive the coveted award. The Pac-10 Conference placed a total of 18 runners on the list with 10 women and eight men, while the Big Ten had the second most on the women's side with seven. more[+]
11/19/07 Curtis Clinches Fourth Place Finish at NCAA Finals Senior Bobby Curtis closed a six-spot gap in the remaining 1000m of the 2007 NCAA Division I cross country finals to place an impressive fourth on Indiana State University's LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. Curtis finished the highly competitive 10k course in 29:47 after making a tremendous run in the remaining 1000m stretch passing six other runners in the process, moving from 10th to his eventual finish at fourth. Senior Josh McDougal of Liberty won the race edging junior Galen Rupp of Oregon and Lopez Lomong of Northern Arizona, who placed second and third respectively. more[+]
11/17/07 Wildcat Women Clinch ECAC/IC4A Championship The Villanova women's cross country squad clinched the ECAC/IC4A Championship title in Bronx, N.Y. earlier today, as freshman Callie Hogan and senior Akilah Vargas led the Wildcats by placing first and second overall, respectively. Villanova finished with 43 total points to secure the crown followed by runner-up William & Mary with 58 points. Cornell rounded out the top-three with a final total score of 83. more[+]
