VILLANOVA, Pa. - On Wednesday afternoon following practice the Villanova women's soccer team hosted a youth team from Marple Newtown and held a soccer clinic on its field at the West Campus Soccer Complex. Participating in the clinic were players from the U-10 Girls team in the Marple Newtown Soccer Association.

The clinic began with introductions and a question-and-answer session with the Villanova players. The Wildcat players then demonstrated several of the drills that the team works on in practice and paired up with players from the `Crush' to run through each of the drills.

"We stress to our players all the time the importance of giving back something to the community," Villanova head coach Ann Clifton said. "A day like this gets our players to think about the people that gave back to them and gave them the love and passion for the game that they have now. Through our summer camp experience and community clinics we give our players an opportunity to give something back. It is something that we really enjoy and it is a great experience for the youth groups."

The Marple Newtown U-10 team is coached by Lyn Roebuck and trained by Dave Boles. Below are the players on the team along with some pictures from Wednesday's clinic.
