Sheri Donley enters her first season with the Villanova University coaching staff in 2008. She will assist head coach Maria DiBernardi and associate head coach Linda Goss in the day-to-day running of the Villanova program. Her main focus will be with the hitters along with the infield and outfield.
Donley joins the staff following an impressive four-year career at Villanova in which she was named to the All-Conference team three times. She ended her career ranked in the top-10 in five different categories for career numbers. She is tied for fourth in homeruns with 18, sixth in doubles with 34 and seventh in runs scored with 104. She recorded over 200 career hits and led the team her senior season as a captain.
During her playing career at Villanova, Donley helped coach at the annual Villanova softball clinics and also coached an eight and under team. She has volunteered at many local clinics around the area helping teach young players how to improve their skills.
Donley graduated from Villanova in 2007 with a BA in Sociology. She currently resides in Wayne, Pa.
